GLAS RÍ - Barn Name “Lockie”
Introducing Lockie, a remarkable 17hh, 5-year-old imported Irish Draught gelding with an impressive resume. Miles through the 1m in Ireland and ready to move up here in the US. Lockie has successfully competed in the novice working hunters in Ireland and has experience whipping in for the Fingal Harriers hunt club. Lockie will continue to hunt with Princess Anne Hunt in Virginia this season. He has also demonstrated his versatility in low-level dressage. With a smooth canter and a willing attitude, Lockie is a joy to ride. He boasts excellent conformation and bone structure, earning him numerous placings in Irish Draught classes. Lockie is not spooky and has no vices, making him a perfect choice for amateurs or professionals. His training has been overseen by one of Ireland's top riders, resulting in a polished and professional demeanor. Lockie has shown at prominent events such as The Dublin Horse Show, Balmoral, Nugentstown, and Tattersalls always jumping a clear round and placing within top five. Lockie is multi-talented and adjustable: he’s sturdy for foxhunting, an excellent jumper, and a perfect mover in dressage. Breeding on file, x-rays available upon request for serious buyers.
